ABOUT US - CALL-IN-PRESCRIPTIONS

Call In Prescriptions:
Patients should bring their medications to each visit so that prescriptions can be filled at that time. If you need a prescription refill, call your pharmacy directly, DO NOT call us. They will forward the appropriate information to us. Please avoid waiting until you are out of medication. We do not call or fax prescriptions to national pharmacies with 800 phone numbers. We will be happy to supply written prescriptions for patients to mail. If you need new prescriptions for a mail order pharmacy or for a controlled substance, leave a message on our pharmacy refill line. They will be available for pick up at the front desk within 48 hours or we will mail them to you if you provide us with a self-addressed, stamped envelope that will be kept in your chart until needed. As a rule, we do not feel that calling in antibiotics or new medicine without first examining you is consistent with good medical care.
